This is a custom built e-commerce solution for selling antiques all over the world. The site is user focussed, with large, well captioned, fast loading images plus detailed item descriptions featuring price and worldwide postage costs. The site is integrated to PayPal for secure online payments and has a bespoke content management system to allow the owner full control.
X-Moor Outdoor Clothing
This site has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2006, topping the search engines in a good many areas. This is because we built the site in an optimised state from the outset, as we do with all sites. At all stages of the design we bear in mind the ultimate goal of a web site, in this case it is to sell goods online, which it has done strongly.
Martinhoe Cleave Cottages
Here's a combination of a static site with a bit of database programming thrown in. The customer, a keen digital photographer, wanted to be able to manage a 'Scenery' page in order to publish new images. This we did, building a custom CMS for image management, along with our usual practices of writing optimum standards based XHTML and CSS.
Loverings Garage
'Build us an Online Car Showroom' was our brief. With up to 20 used vehicles for sale, we decided on a simple but effective database model to categorise and display the cars on the web. Using a combination of MySQL, PHP, Javascript, XHTML and CSS we were able to produce a user frindly, paginated and image rich showroom which in combination with the garage's offline advertising, has had a positive effect on car sales.
Acorns Guest House
One of the first sites we did which demonstrates that you don't necessarily need databases or advanced programming on every site. A good, simple layout with carefully chosen text and clear photographs (also done by us) can be all you need. We update the site at the owner's request about once a year to change tariffs and menus etc.
The Castle Inn
Another brochure site which has brought in plenty of enquiries for the owner. Straightforward layout, lots of text, good photos - Exmoor Media Style!
